Decorus Skin Coffee Skin Scrub: A Review.

Decorus Skin Coffee Skin Scrub: A Review.

Now you guys know me. I’m not one of these girls that does face masks on the reg, who has rows of expensive products and one that knows the difference between a toner and a cleanser. Ooops. Worst girl award right there.

But what I do, do (apparently is one that laughs at do do) is try my hardest to look after my skin with the sparse knowledge that I have. As well as constantly stalk the internet, twitter and blogs in finding simple products with maximum benefits and one that kept popping up were scrubs, and in particular coffee scrubs.

You know the ones, the products that make you smell like the inside of a Starbucks but gives your skin that glow that either only a long holiday in the sun or a ton of highlight could create- and since the first one is impossible on a freelance wage and the second just is pointless the coffee scrub was the only answer we were left with.

The lovely guys over at Decorus Skin- Natural Skincare kindly sent me over their popular and well-loved Coffee Skin Scrub complete with orange peel. Their scrub is already huge in Australia and is set to hit the UK with such a force due to their clever combination of natural ingredients. Their scrub is packed full of Robusta Coffee, Sweet Almond Oil, Orange Peel and plenty of essential oils to make it the perfect scrub to exfoliate and moisturise the skin on a day to day basis.

Coffee is an amazing scrub ingredient because it helps to stimulate the blood flow which in turn can help to reduce the appearance of a number of skin imperfections and problems such as eczema, stretch marks, age spots, blackheads and cellulite.

Pairing that wonder with orange peel and dead seat salt allows the ability to exfoliate the skin to the best of their ability while pushing a mountain of minerals and antioxidants into the skin to help nourish and allow the toxins to leave the skin.

Whereas the sweet almond and orange oils provide a much well needed dose of hydration and the added vitamin e hosts a whole heap of antioxidants perfect for promoting clean rejuvenation and growth all in one little scrub.

So I put it to the test (apologises for the wonky knees and nakedness in advance).

The scrub was super simple to apply to the wet skin and really gave that exfoliating feel without being too harsh on the skin- although you did need a fair amount to really cover the body and where it was a loose powder it made a complete mess of my bathroom- and it also made me realise how much I detest the smell of coffee. Yeah I know -10 points to the girl who chose a coffee scrub when she hates coffee. I get it. You don’t need to tell me.

BUT- that being said. After I washed away the scrub (and showered about 4 times to get rid of the smell) my skin felt insanely soft. Like baby bum soft. It felt new, it felt energised and it felt super smooth. I’m not even sure when my skin felt and looked so healthy before- I was completely shocked how amazing a simple natural product such as this could be so beneficial.

So if unlike me, you actually adore the smell of coffee and can stand like smelling like the inside of an espresso cup- this bad boy is for you. For me- I think I will stick to a sweeter sugar version next time.

The Decour Skin Coffee and Orange scrub costs £10.99 and lasts about 3/4 applications depending on how much skin you apply it too and can be purchased here.
