Travelling. Even the word just sounds so wanderlust, and magical.
Like the possibilities are endless.
So why aren’t we all just packing up and exploring the wanders of the world as much as possible?
Oh yes. Life- the money, the responsibilities. All the adult things that stop us living our life. *throws a massive strop.
But surely, the wealth of knowledge and experiences we get out of travelling is an investment that we should ensure we are getting as much as possible. To be able to immerse ourselves into a completely different culture, to try and experience new and exciting foods and challenge ourselves with a new language are all aspects that we shouldn’t put a price on.
It gives us a chance to really reflect what is important to ourselves in our own lives. When we are taken away from the daily stresses and struggles of day to day life and forced to just slow down for once. We can really begin to understand about our own importance and well-being, and how to achieve what makes us who we are. All while lowering our stress levels and increasing our happiness, even for just a few days. We get to physically unplug ourselves from our routines and technologies and allow ourselves to engage in new and exciting opportunities in new places.
And this is exactly why I am going to make it my mission to be able to travel as much as possible- as far as possible, and to experience as much as possible.
I’m very lucky to have been able to go to some incredible places, experiences some unmissable things and even live abroad for a while- that have moulded me into the person I am today. A girl with a massive passion for new foods, for learning about the history, culture and language behind other countries and giving myself the time and ability to become a better person.
Because, travelling does all that. It’s a magical little being. And something that we all need to do. As much as possible.
I know that life gets in the way sometimes. We get sick. We have bills to pay. We have responsibilities- but sometimes you just need to throw caution to the wind, and just book up and trip- because jobs may fill your pockets, but adventures fill your soul. And there’s no better way to fill your soul- then by surprising yourself with a trip somewhere new and exciting.
Where has been the best place you have travelled too/where would you like to go next?
